It took 100 years and the development of highly sophisticated experiments to be able to observe gravitational waves, the "ripples" of the fabric of spacetime predicted by Albert Einstein's General Relativity in 1915. It is a fascinating story, to which the third episode is dedicated from the series 'Physics in Super8, Stories of Discoveries", created by the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (Infn). One of the
most important discoveries in the history of physics is reconstructed by one of the protagonists of research on gravitational waves, Viviana Fafone, of the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Infn researcher.
