"Grey's Anatomy" - Ellen Pompeo breaks up (courtesy yes and STINGTV)
Almost 18 years after "Grey's Anatomy" began, and after 407 episodes during which many stars have already left, now it's the turn of the main heroine, the one whose name appears in the title of the series - Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo.
In the episode that aired yesterday (Thursday) in the United States - and will also air on Sunday on Biss TV and Best TV and will be broadcast the next day on Biss TV Drama - Meredith said goodbye to her colleagues at Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital.
In the episode, called "I'll Follow The Sun" after the Beatles song, Dr. Gray's friends plan to surprise her for her breakup. The one who is not happy with her decision to leave is Dr. Nick Marsh who confronts her about their relationship.

Last November, Pompeo posted a farewell post on Instagram.
"I am grateful for the love and support you have given me, Meredith Gray and the show for 19 seasons," she wrote.
"None of this would be possible without the best fans in the world. You've all been a part of my journey to such a fun time. I love you guys so much and appreciate you so much. It's not the first time on a roller coaster. You always know the show must go on and I'll definitely be back to visit. Much love ".
Pompeo is expected to appear in the final episode of the current season, the 19th in number, and if it is renewed for another season - which is very likely given her continued success - the door will remain open for the actress' return.
In the meantime, she will also continue to serve as the producer of the series and as the main narrator of the story.
"For the record, this is not really the end of me," Pompeo clarified to the entertainment magazine 'Entertainment Weekly'.
"It's a bit of a trick they play on people. This is my last chapter for a while."
