Two years after they left the Autodeal chain they founded, the new activity of Tomer Dotan and Meir Ohion is published: a center for the sale of new and used cars, including parallel and regular imported models.
At the same time, the two continue importing Aston Martin cars to Israel.
Dotan and Ohion founded the Autodeal second hand car chain in 1997, one of the first in the field in Israel.
In 2005, Allied, the owner of Champion Motors, an importer of the Volkswagen Group, purchased 50% of the chain's shares and in 2019 completed the purchase of 100% of the ownership.
According to estimates in the industry, the two received a total of NIS 150 million from Allied for the network, and continued to work there for two more years as employees, completing 24 years and sales of about 150,000 cars, according to the sale agreement.
In recent months, with the end of the non-competition period with Champion, the two began the launch of the new activity under the Autoart Group brand, which is located next to the Aston Martin dealership in Herzliya, in the complex where the Infiniti showroom used to operate.

In recent years, the activity of selling new cars in Israel has expanded, not through the official car importers.
Some of the companies themselves engage in parallel imports, others offer for sale vehicles that arrived in Israel through regular imports through the vehicle importers, and most of them combine the channels.
Auto Art promises to offer cars at a variety of prices, from NIS 90 to NIS 3 million, including new cars available for immediate delivery, and the possibility of a trade-in.
Among the new cars now offered for sale in the new complex: Volkswagen ID.3 from NIS 220,000, Mercedes CLA180 from NIS 250,000, Cooper Formentor Plug-in from NIS 250,000, Ford Mustang Mach E from NIS 289,000 and Ford Bronco Sport from -289 thousand shekels.
According to Dotan and Ohion, "The new car market is going through significant processes except for the introduction of electricity, we recognize less brand loyalty and more adaptation to needs and budget. At the same time, there is a gradual disappearance of the concept of the classic car importer, and a transition to remote sales by the manufacturer as Tesla operates in Israel and around the world. Our goal is to reach Within three years to sell 10,000 new cars per year, like major car importers."
