First publication: Frank Dieter Freiling, chairman of the Eurovision Executive Committee (Reference Group), last week sent a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu in which he compliments the person who will represent Israel in the contest, Noa Kirel, and hints that if Israel wins the Eurovision, hosting the contest in Israel next year may be in danger due to the government's moves.

Tarbut, the senior member of the Eurovision management, wrote: "I am happy to see that this year a very promising artist will represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Liverpool in May. As the chairman of the Eurovision Executive Committee, I am taking this opportunity to write to you that in the event of an Israeli victory in this year's competition, the country will be able to host the Eurovision in 2024 only if the Public Broadcasting Corporation functions fully, and if the broadcasting body in Israel meets the criteria required for membership in the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Eurovision rules.
We are happy to welcome strong and ambitious artists who represent Israel every year, and know that you will agree with the importance of Israel's participation in Eurovision as a unique and wonderful opportunity to share Israeli culture and talent with the world."
Kirel's song that will represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest, "Unicorn", will be revealed on March 8, and in the meantime, Kirel today provided a first glimpse of it on Tiktok, lasting just a few seconds.
She created the song together with Yanon Yahal, Mai Sepadia and Doron Medley.
The Eurovision final will take place on May 13 in Liverpool, England, but Kyrle will have to clear the semi-final hurdle a few days earlier.
