The trams are on their way to Ford showrooms in Israel.
Delek Motors will launch the Mustang Mach E and the 150-F Lightning in 2024, in a move that will introduce the manufacturer to the developing market and is expected to give a boost to its sales, which due to a limited supply of models have decreased greatly in recent years, reaching a negative peak of 1,384 cars in 2022, compared to 2,133 in 2021.
Both models are already arriving in Israel through parallel imports, but in small numbers and at relatively high prices, and the start of regular imports may place them at lower prices, as happened with other models that arrived in Israel through parallel imports before regular imports, such as the Skoda Aniac and Hyundai Elantra.

The move comes after Ford decided to invest $2 billion this year in accelerating the production rate of its electric models, which will allow it to allocate cars to new markets as well.
The investment comes as Tesla prepares to begin production of its delayed Cybertruck electric pickup truck this year to enter a field where Ford and Chevrolet have overtaken it, and Ram is expected to launch its electric pickup truck at the same time.
The annual production rate of the electric Mustang at the factory in Cotitlan, Mexico will be doubled by the end of the year to 210 thousand cars a year.
The production rate of the electric F-150 will be tripled to 150,000 pickups per year on the production line in Michigan, USA.
Mustang is now offered as a parallel import at a price starting at NIS 289,000, a high price compared to the basic models of the competing Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Skoda Aniac. which are cheaper by about NIS 60-70 thousand.
The electric version of the F-150 is now offered in a parallel import at prices approaching half a million NIS.
