It was quick:
Google announced today (Tuesday) a series of new features based on generative artificial intelligence (AI) in Gmail, Google Docs and other services in Google Workspace.
According to the company, the artificial intelligence will make the use of the platforms easier - by typing a topic you want to write about, a draft will be created immediately and you can continue to refine and edit the document and also receive additional suggestions as needed.
In addition, Google will also offer a solution that will help find the right tone and writing style for each user and adds new artificial intelligence capabilities that will help rewrite the text and turn it into a more polished summary.
Alongside this, the option "I feel lucky" will be added (similar to Google), which will allow artificial intelligence to write text in a playful and completely new voice.
In the video published by the company, we will see how the royal intelligence begins to write the text independently.
According to Johanna Wallich Wright, Vice President at Google "We all have a hard time dealing with blank pages. That's why we're embedding generative AI in Docs and Gmail to help people start writing. Whether you're a busy HR person who needs to create personalized job descriptions or you Parents drafting their kid's birthday party invitation with a pirate concept, Workspace saves the time and effort of writing the first draft. All you have to do is type in a topic you want to write about, and a draft will be created for you instantly. Together with your AI partner, you can continue to refine and edit the document and also receive additional proposals as needed."

However, Google admits, at least for now, that artificial intelligence cannot replace a human being.
"When we experimented ourselves with generative artificial intelligence, one thing was clear: AI is not a substitute for the ingenuity, creativity and wisdom of real people. Sometimes artificial intelligence makes mistakes, sometimes it pleases us with something absurd and often it requires guidance," the company explained.
"With all of this in mind, we're designing our products according to Google's AI principles that keep the user in control, allowing AI to make suggestions that can be accepted, edited and changed. We'll also provide adjustable management controls, so IT can set the right policies for their organization."
Last month, Google unveiled Bard ("poet") - a chatbot powered by the artificial intelligence module LaMDA, similar to ChatGPT.
"We are taking another step forward and allowing trusted testers to try it out, before it is available to the public in the coming weeks," Google wrote in a press release.
Unlike ChatGPT, the new tool combines information from a number of extensive sources from the web in real time to provide up-to-date answers compared to ChatGPT, which is updated until the end of 2021.
