Telecommunications companies Cellcom and HOT (Hot) announced this morning (Sunday) - separately - about the launch of a new browsing package with a speed of 5 gigabit.

The announcement follows the announcement by the board of directors of IBC Unlimited, the fiber optic company owned by HOT, Cellcom, Keren 57 and the Electric Company, according to which the deployment of the company's fiber optic network will be expanded to approximately 2 million households and reach hundreds of thousands of additional customers. Pre-registration for Cellcom's new 5 gigabit plan, known as Ultra Fast Fiber, has already opened, with installation becoming possible from April 2nd.

As part of the launch, the company offers a package that includes a download speed of up to 5 gigabit and an upload speed of up to 1 gigabit - at a price of NIS 199.
