A frightening moment occurred on the KCAL channel broadcasts yesterday, when during the broadcast of the morning program forecaster Alyssa Carlson Schwartz fainted live.
During the program that was broadcast at 7 in the morning, when the two presenters turned to Carlson Schwartz to hear her forecast, she lost consciousness and collapsed even before she started the report, for a reason that has not yet been clarified.
Following this, the station quickly went to commercials and stopped the live broadcasts until the situation was clarified.
Carlson Schwartz, a veteran forecaster who also became famous as a contestant in the "Miss America" contest, had a similar incident already at another station in 2014, when she vomited during the forecast.
Following the incident, it was reported that she suffers from a heart problem.
In the afternoon, after long hours of worry, the forecaster acknowledged the worry on her Facebook page.
"Thank you for all the messages, calls and well wishes. I'm going to be fine," she wrote, without adding any further details about her condition.
Mike Dello Streeto, a senior executive at CBS, to which the channel is affiliated, told the TMZ website that she is being treated in a hospital.
"She is in our thoughts and we pray she feels much better soon."
