First announcement: The Israel Calling 2023 event will take place on April 3 at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv.
This year the event will be held to mark the 50th anniversary of Israel's participation in Eurovision and the 75th anniversary of Israel.
As in previous years, as part of the event, representatives of the European countries in Eurovision will arrive in Israel, and will stay here for three days.
During them, they will participate in planting in the Eurovision forest of the Kimat Israel Foundation and in the promo where they will perform the songs with which they will compete in the competition, which will be held in May in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
The big show will be hosted by Dafna and Dekel Segal Shahmon, who hosted the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.
The "Israel Calling" event is an initiative of the Israeli producer Tali Eshkoli, and is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and the Kimat Israel Foundation.
Its culmination is a major musical event, a kind of mini Eurovision before the Israeli audience, which will be broadcast on social networks all over Europe.
It is a celebration of shared universal values, of connections and of brotherhood.
On this occasion, I would like to greet the members of the delegations and the journalists with a welcome and return to Israel, we all look forward to your arrival.
One thing is for sure: it will be fun!"
