Livnat Ben Hamo, who is known to many from many years of music broadcasts in Galgaletz, is stepping aside and this morning (Wednesday) released her first and original song: "My mother hurts me", which she also wrote.
The song was composed by Moran David and produced by Eran Goldberg.
This is the first swallow from Ben Hamo's debut album, which will be released soon.
"The song is about the women in my life and the question of how much freedom we have to be what we dream of being, when we are part of a chain of women who didn't get opportunities and lived less for themselves and more for others," says Ben Hamo about the song.
"Where do they end and where do I begin? Do I have the courage to say goodbye to the family story but not give up the love and strength that is woven into it? In the music video for the song there is a wall of pictures of the women who make up my world: mother, grandmothers, aunts, cousins and also women who are kind of mothers Spiritualists who deeply influenced me: Ronit Alkabats, Etti Ankri, Vicky Sheeran. These are all the women from whom I come from and from whom I draw strength to tell my story."
