Outrage on social media over channels 12 and 13 that continued to broadcast the reality shows "Ninja Israel" (Keshet 12) and "Survival" (Network 13) during the dramatic events in the country - huge demonstrations, an extraordinary announcement by Defense Minister Galant and the blocking of Ayalon on by the protesters.
Many surfers wondered why, week after week, channels 12 and 13 do not properly prepare for live broadcasts as channels 11 and 14 do, and bring the voices and images from the demonstrations across the country and the reactions to Minister Gallant's call to stop the legislation.
Surfer Aviv tweeted for example: "What's the wonder that the ratings of Channel 14 are on the rise when they are the only ones who understand the magnitude of the event and continue to broadcast live, when everyone else is with reality? The most talked about reality is what is happening in the country right now, it won't help."
Itai Zilber of Gali IDF tweeted: "Hundreds of people are blocking Ayalon, the police will soon start evacuating them, at the same time Gallant is dropping a political bombshell on the TV channels: Kaan 11 - a special news broadcaster, Keshet 12 - Ninja Israel, Network 13 - Hasherot, now 14 - The open studio".
