Almost 460 years after William Shakespeare was born, and 420 years since he wrote "Hamlet" - "Hamlet" is still considered by many to be the best play in history, and remains relevant even today.

Another proof of this is that it is shown simultaneously in two large theaters in Israel - in the production directed by Maor Zagouri and starring Ben Yosifovitch and in the production at Beit Lissin that was staged in November at Beit Lissin directed by Yair Sherman, translated by Dori Farnes and starring Assaf Yunesh in the role of the Prince of Denmark.

More plays in the play Rami Hoiberger, who returned after more than 30 years to play Claudius, a role he played at the beginning of his career about thirty years ago in a play by Rana Yerushalmi, Eli Gorenstein, Shiri Golan, Yoram Toledano and Carmel Bin.

In an interview with Walla!

Culture At the end of last year, the star of the play Assaf Yonish said that in his opinion there is justification for staging the two casts in two large theaters at the same time even in the small industry in Israel.

"There is room for two plays because each one does it differently. I think there is also room for ten 'Hamlet' plays. Two actors can share the same role in completely different ways," said Yunesh.

In response to the question why all the actors in the world, except Oded Kotler, want to play Hamlet, he said: "One of the big reasons for this is that it is a broad character. If 'Macbeth' is a tragedy of ambition, and 'Othello' is a tragedy of jealousy, 'Hamlet' It's impossible to define it that way. I always call 'Hamlet' - 'a tragedy of the mind'."

Yonesh also said that he was not stressed about stepping into the big shoes of the position.

"I didn't walk around the street feeling happy because I was going to do the next Hamlet, I wasn't in the clouds, and because of that I couldn't crash on the floor. It allowed me to work and not be stressed by this madness. I worked with my hands and feet. It normalizes the stress."
