Four years after the third generation was introduced and as talk of its transition to electric propulsion is moving towards reality, the Hyundai i10 is getting a facelift that should keep it competitive in the mini car market.

The one in the world has been experiencing a decrease in power for several years, but in Israel it seems that they haven't really heard about it, when the Kia Picanto is not only the best-selling mini car with over 12 thousand units, but also the best-selling car in Israel.

. As part of the update, Hyundai goes over the exterior design and adds a few more items in the safety and comfort sections to the car's equipment list.

Externally, the differences are hardly visible, these are only slightly different lighting units in the front and back, where the daytime running lights are integrated in the updated version inside the grill in a way reminiscent of the lighting in the Elantra and Tucson.

The taillights have also been changed.

And for those who want their i10 with a more dynamic look, there is also the N Line version with the sporty design features and 16-inch rims (15-inch regular ones)

The most significant changes were recorded in the passenger cabin.

It starts with a new finish for the dashboard in front of the passenger and focuses mainly on a 4.2-inch digital dashboard and an 8-inch multimedia screen that will now offer both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly as well as over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Depending on the level of finish, the passenger cabin will also have new upholstery, wireless charging for mobile phones, the addition of USB C sockets, and in the N Line version, red decorations on the dashboard and different upholstery.

The advanced safety systems remain unchanged, lane departure correction, automatic braking and more, only it also adds a system to prevent children from being left in the car.

As far as engines are concerned, there is no change.

The power unit relevant to us will continue to be the 1.25-liter engine with 84 hp connected to a robotic automatic gearbox with a single clutch or manual, both with 5 gears.

Just as interesting as the i10 is its twin sister from Hyundai, the Kia Picanto.

As mentioned, this is not only the best-selling Mini, but an extraordinary local success for several years.

The last facelift the car underwent was in mid-2020 and spy photos of the redesigned Picanto are already circulating online.

Despite the heavy camouflage, it seems that it will present more significant changes on the front.

Naturally, it is also expected to "align" with the technological updates received by Hyundai.

The importer of Hyundai to Israel stated that the renewed i10 will arrive in Israel in the second half of 2023. Telcar stated that it is not yet clear when the renewed Picanto will arrive.
