On the pollen front, the situation is deteriorating.
While 31 departments were placed in “
high
” health impact for pollen last week, this number increased to 60 departments this Friday, April 7, according to a map from the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA).
These are essentially the departments of the eastern half of the country.
The other 36 metropolitan departments have a “
medium
” health impact.
According to the RNSA, this diffusion of pollen is favored by the spring weather.
According to the note published by the RNSA under its map, these pollens “
will bother allergy sufferers over a large northeast quarter of the country with a high risk
” of allergies.
For birch pollen, especially present in the north of the country, "
the risk of allergy will be low to medium
" adds the monitoring network.
"
Hornbeam pollens (which are from the same family as birches) and ash pollens are very abundant in the air with a risk of allergy which will evolve between the low level and the high level depending on the departments
"
,
adds he.
Further south in France, “
the cocktail of cypress, plane tree, oak and parietaria pollen could raise the overall risk of allergy to a high level during spring days
”.

To deal with pollen, the RNSA advises in particular to "
rinse your hair in the evening
" and "
to air at least ten minutes a day
"

He also recommends rolling the window closed and “
avoid drying clothes outside
