After singing the anthem at the demonstration that took place yesterday at Kaplan in Tel Aviv against the legal revolution, musician Keren Pels reveals (Sunday) the curses and threats she experienced before she made the decision to go on stage - and her fear of violence.

"I came to Kaplan today neither for the opposition nor against the pro," she wrote.

"My voice aligns itself with the freedom of all parties to make a voice. At the beginning of my journey, I was taught that artists should not express a position because it would have a price. Later it even got worse, to the point that leftists and rightists became curses thrown from the left to the right and vice versa, even though every normal body contains both sides The limbs. Two weeks ago I waved on my stage a flag that is identified with the opposition to the current government, which in my eyes and in the eyes of many contains extremist elements that are dangerous to the security of all of us. It is important that even those who disagree preserve the right of others to raise their voice and that we come out with one voice against violence. Children commit suicide because of keyboard bullying."

Peles later told about the price she pays for expressing her position.

"I'm already a 44-year-old woman with children, who knows that there are more important things in the world than her. They cursed me and sent me frighteningly hateful messages, not because I'm weak. Because the intensity of hatred can destroy even intense love. I'm in recovery for two years of physical hell, and I still haven't finished treating in my body. So I planned not to appear on stage tonight at Kaplan. They are threatening that they won't come to hear me, my family's finances are in danger, my life's work, it's better to be silent. At noon I caught myself in the act. Don't let the violence control you. Whoever really listens with all his heart, hears the song Yours truly, and not expecting you to sing his.

"This is how I found myself three hours ago climbing the steps of the stage, wrapped in the Israeli flag, singing in front of the largest audience I have ever had the privilege of standing in front of, the anthem of the country in which I have had the privilege of living. If I remain silent, what will a woman who receives threats say? How will others speak without a microphone Why do I deserve an audience, that someone will even listen to me, if I'm not ready to speak? Convicted criminals are not supposed to be members of the Knesset, and those who have an indictment against them cannot lead a country. This is not a political position, this is me who is not afraid to stand up for my opinion. A woman has no At the moment, it is legitimized to remain silent just so that everyone will love the singer."
