Gefen passed away last night at the age of 76. Gefen, born in Nahalel and a member of the Dayan family, was a regular columnist in Maariv newspaper for about 40 years, and published many books for adults and children and songs that became an integral part of the Israeli soundtrack.

Among his well-known books are "Dear Woman" which he wrote about his relationship with his mother, "Good Material" about his connections with the "Lol" group, and especially "The Sixteenth Lamb", which is considered one of the most beloved children's books in Israel, which was also produced for a very successful record featuring Yoni Rechter, Yehudit Ravitz, David Broza and Gidi Gov.
