As reported by the police, witnesses in Eitorf (Rhein-Sieg district) reported around 2:20 a.m. a wheel loader driving around.

Behind the wheel: a 16-year-old, next to his 15-year-old passenger.
The officials switched on the flashing lights and gave the signal to stop - but this did not affect the two wheel loader drivers at all.
Unimpressed, they continued their journey at a speed of between 20 and 30 km/h.
The police took up the pursuit.

We continued through parking lots and forestry paths - and it became more and more dangerous.
According to the police, the 16-year-old kept trying to ram the patrol car and force it off the road.
A courtyard gate and a park bench were damaged.
The 16-year-old, who had gone mad, also ignored red traffic lights – and an oncoming car had to swerve onto the grass verge to avoid a head-on collision.

The chase had now lasted more than half an hour and several patrol cars were now involved.
The police officers positioned their vehicles in such a way that it was hardly possible for the fugitives to return to paved roads.
When trying to bypass the 16-year-old then slipped into a ditch with the wheel loader - and got stuck.

Now the traffic commissioner is investigating a dangerous intervention in road traffic.
