After her dance sequences garnered wall-to-wall compliments, Kyrell stepped up with "Unicorn" for her first general rehearsal for tomorrow night's Eurovision semi-finals — and received a standing ovation

Tremendous excitement among the members of the Israeli delegation to Eurovision 2023: At 13:30 in Liverpool, 15:30 in Israel, the first general rehearsal for the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, which will take place tomorrow, begins. Hundreds of journalists allowed into the auditorium finally saw the full performance of "Unicorn" performed by Noa Kirl, which received a standing ovation. Noa competes in the semifinals in three of the leading countries with the odds of winning - Sweden, Finland and Norway, all ranked above Israel in bookmakers.

Last week we were only exposed to Kyrell's dance segment, which received applause around the world, but still did not reflect an improvement in the chances of winning. Now that the vocal performance of the Israeli song has finally been revealed, the delegation hopes for another increase in the buzz around us. It should be said that like other singers, it sounds like she keeps her voice for tomorrow and didn't give her all today, but at the same time, journalists from Spain who sat next to us said that the performance was excellent, and that they thought Israel would finish in the top 5.

Tonight at 22:00 p.m. there will be another general rehearsal, the return of backup. In previous years, this rehearsal was no less significant than the live broadcast, because members of judging panels voted in different countries. This year there are no more judges in the semi-finals, so the return is only used for backup purposes in case of malfunctions in tomorrow's broadcast. Tomorrow there will be a third and final general rehearsal in the afternoon, and at 22:00 the sounds of Te Daum will finally be heard on your TV screens. Noa's turn will arrive around 23:00, and by midnight we will know if Israel is returning to the Eurovision final after a year off.
