He did not survive his injuries. Seriously wounded in early April in a shooting in the center of Marseille, against a background of drug trafficking, a 15-year-old teenager finally died, we learned Tuesday from the prosecutor's office, which confirmed the information of La Provence.
The young man had been hit by gunmen who had targeted three teenagers, on the night of April 2 to 3, in front of a snack bar in the Joliette district. One of the three teenagers targeted, aged 16, died instantly. The 15-year-old had since been between life and death. The third, aged 14, was only slightly injured.

This death brings to 17 the violent deaths against a backdrop of drug trafficking since the beginning of the year in the second city of France, with 15 killed by gunfire, a teenager lynched to death and a last found in the trunk of a burned car, probably shot dead.
Four people arrested
The night of April 2 to 3 marked a new level in this violence, with four shootings in rapid succession that had left three dead instantly in two separate places of the city, and therefore this fourth death now.

The prosecutor's office had at the time indicated that the investigation made it possible to consider "possible links" between the shootings of that night, while the rival gangs of drug traffickers have, according to the justice and police, entered a cycle of "vendetta", especially for the control of very profitable points of deal. Four people had been arrested following the shooting in La Joliette, one of whom was indicted, an 18-year-old teenager.
