The couple's family has launched an appeal to find Onyx, the young woman's dog, who disappeared at the same time as his masters. "We need to know where Onyx is," Marie-Thérèse, Leslie's great-aunt, said Monday on France Bleu Périgord. "It has become THE priority," said the 76-year-old.
According to statements from one of the suspects, the young woman's dog could be in the Dordogne. As we revealed at the end of April in an article, orders were given to kill Onyx with a shotgun, after trying in vain to poison him. But Nathan Badji, who had been entrusted with this macabre mission, would not have had the courage. In custody, the young man had claimed to have loaded the animal in his car, before abandoning it in the Dordogne, a hundred kilometers from the Deux-Sèvres.

Statements that question the great-aunt of the murdered young woman: "Why release him there? Why do all this route? They could have released it in the Poitevin marsh, it would have been the same, "she said to France Bleu. In any case, she judged, "he can no longer be wandering after six months, but someone may have taken him in and did not make the connection." And if he is dead, the family would like to get him back to be buried alongside Leslie.
"Onyx was Leslie's baby"
The young woman was obviously very attached to her dog: "Onyx was Leslie's baby," said her great-aunt, who lives in the Paris region. "He was glued to her, he didn't take a step without Leslie, and vice versa. She was fusional with this dog."
The family has been mobilizing for several months to find Onyx.
