Ultra-marathon, ultra-trail, ultra-distance... In running, everything becomes ultra. Extreme performances are on the rise and runners are no longer afraid to practice for 24 to 48 hours without interruption, over hundreds of kilometers, in any weather, on the road or in the mountains. This is for example the case of Stéphanie Gicquel, vice-world champion of 100km with the France athletics team and holder of the national ultra-distance record with 253.6km covered in 24 hours. To prepare for the world ultra-distance competition, she completed a World Marathon Challenge, seven marathons in seven consecutive days.
