Yuval: "They wrote to me that I deserved the slap my ex gave me", Daniel: "I was told I was a violent person" - voila! culture

After a season full of upheavals and twists, which aroused great interest among viewers, tonight (Wednesday) the network 13 reunion episode of "New Love" will be broadcast in which we will know what happened to the couples, who is in contact with whom and who is angry with whom. Just before the episode aired, we invited two of the stars of the season - contestants Daniel Levy and Yuval Maor - to the "Culture Committee", Walla's podcast! Culture (which also exists in the filmed version that can be seen up here) to talk about everything: the shocking reactions they received, the hesitation about whether to go to the show, the moments of crisis, Nir's departure that broke up Yuval, the fight with Oz that made Daniel cry - and the desire to return to normal.

On the reactions they get after each episode airs:

Daniel: "People think they know us after fifteen minutes and it's very embarrassing. One girl said to me, 'I adore you.' Who am I to be admired?"

Yuval: "There were also harsh responses I received. They told me I was a gentile, an anti-Semite and an anti-Israelist because they thought I had come out against religion. And that's just because I'm secular. I was also told that I deserved to have been in a violent relationship and that I had been slapped in the face. At first I thought I had to answer and defend myself, but I quickly stopped."

Daniel: "They said harsh things to me too. They said I was violent and had violent hand gestures. I don't answer, I make a block."

On the decision to participate in the program: Yuval:

"I was approached, and my friend told me, 'You have to go to the audition.' I told her, 'They won't accept me, I don't have some sad story.' Slowly it unfolded, and when I was just about to sign a contract, I consulted with my parents. I was sure they wouldn't agree and my own mother told me, 'Go it's on and let everyone jump.' So I said I was going for it and I had nothing to lose."

Daniel: "I got a message in the middle of a work day and I said to myself, 'I'm the most boring girl on earth.' After all, I don't have anything exciting and exciting. I get up in the morning, go to work, exercise, and go home. Slowly, things rolled forward. I wasn't sure I could be exposed like that, but in retrospect I debated mainly because of that. Not for me to be exposed like that, but for the experience I came."

On the feeling of watching themselves on the TV screen: Yuval:

"At first I didn't realize it was me, but slowly I started to like what I was seeing. I never went to therapy or told anyone that I was afraid of rejection or that I was ignoring myself to avoid rejection."

Daniel: "Even at the promo stage I was shocked. I had a lot of apprehensions before the broadcast but I watch a lot of love. It wasn't easy, but there were lines that guided me along the way, I stayed true to myself and came to find a relationship that would suit me."

And when you saw the big blast with Oz at breakfast?

Daniel: "I cried. You only see where we got there, but there were things that led to it, I didn't explode out of nowhere. But really it's an unpleasant situation to watch. It comes down to strengths."

Yuval: "I was really proud of her in that situation. First of all she was very patient. She showed a lot of restraint and then said, 'This doesn't suit me.' Oz was angry at her for not fitting her."

Daniel: "All the men who came are great, they just aren't his style, so there were more intrigues because we were very different. However, I stepped out of my comfort zone in every way. A lot of men wanted to engineer me all the time and didn't try to accept me. Even when they come into my apartment, it's hard for me, not just for them. I have to start over time after time, it's not easy."

Judging women more easily than men?

Daniel: "Unequivocally. Some people said, 'If you came on the show, there's something wrong with you.' Some said, 'After seeing her on the show, we understand why she's single.' Friends, I'm only 29!"

Yuval, what's going on between you and Marom today? We saw that at the end of the last chapter you said you would try to develop something.

Yuval: "We are in touch. In the union you will discover some connection."

On Nir's departure and the crisis Yuval experienced as a result: Yuval:

"I really liked something about Nir. He was lovely and cute. I knew that we were very different from each other and that difficulties really arose between us. But there are always difficulties in a relationship and you have to deal with them. It wasn't a difficulty because of the cameras, he said he was used to being his own master and in 'New Love' they set his schedule and you can't dispute it, you can't go surfing."

Getting started today?

Daniel: "Yes. There are inquiries on Instagram. Until now I haven't responded to anything because the show was broadcast, but what is more, this experience opened my heart."

Daniel, what kind of man are you looking for?

Daniel: "I like good and ambitious people, I also believe in courtship in the beginning. This is necessary in order to continue. Men, after all, love to conquer. I need an interesting conversation and in the end it's a man and a woman, so I need this little flirtation."

On the surprising relationship between Dor and Noya: Yuval:

"I was surprised by the twist that happened, that suddenly he became her partner once again. But I felt it coming, because Dor would come to my apartment and talk about Noya, and then Noya would come and talk about Dor. So that was to be expected."

Daniel: Do you know why it worked the second time? Because at first they came as a couple, and then when they broke up he was liberated and she saw who he really was and fell in love with him."

On the moment they will take away from the show: Yuval:

"The realization that fell to me on the last day of filming that I am not sorry for anything, that I am at peace with every moment."

Daniel: "The whole way it was hard for me and I was very bad with myself and I was very critical of myself. In the end, when I sat in front of the psychologists and Maya, I realized that I was much stronger than I thought, and I will take that with me."

What are the plans next? Did it pique your curiosity to do another reality show? Getting into the entertainment industry?

Daniel: "I'm flying out next week, so I'm happy to get back into my life and focus on the things that are important to me. I want to balance out of this rollercoaster."

Yuval: "I want to get back to the track for a second, to the routine. We both have jobs that we really like. I want stability, especially after such an event, and what next? What will be will be. But for sure, Big Brother is off limits."
