On April 9, 2022, the 28-year-old man was targeted outside a bar in downtown Bastia. Several shots had been fired but his prognosis had not been engaged.

In a recent report by Sirasco (Service d'information, de renseignement et d'analyse stratégique sur la crime organised), Jean-Mathieu Salducci is described as part of the "young generation that is growing in power, close to the Germani clan".
