Eyal Golan - Statement to the media after the confrontation with T. and N. (PR)

The State Prosecutor's Office decided to close the renewed investigation against Eyal Golan and ten other people in the "Social Games" affair due to insufficient evidence. The case was closed about a decade ago, but last year the investigation was renewed following new complaints against Golan and his friends. Golan was suspected of bringing a man into prostitution and failing to report sexual offenses he witnessed. Other suspects were also interrogated on suspicion of rape and supplying drugs to minors.

The State Prosecutor's Office said: "After a thorough examination of the complainants' complaints, a comprehensive investigation was conducted, which addressed all the suspicions and data that arose in the investigations. The suspects were interrogated, clashes took place, additional witnesses were questioned, and the investigation was completed. At the end of the day, it was found that the police investigation did not collect sufficient evidence to establish a reasonable chance of conviction and therefore an indictment cannot be filed." Civil proceedings continue as usual. The next hearing in the civil proceedings is scheduled for July.

On November 15, 2021, T. and N., who allege that they were sexually abused by Golan, filed 11 new complaints against ten people who were not investigated in 2013 in the underage affair. The new complaints led to a renewed investigation and reopening of the case. Eyal Golan was suspected of conspiracy to commit a crime, obstruction of justice and multiple offenses of bringing a person into prostitution.

In November, there was a confrontation between N. and T. and Golan at the police, after which T. told the media, among other things: "Today for the first time I looked into the eyes of the person who treated me like an animal, who passed me from hand to hand as if I were a toy, who pushed drugs into me so that I would keep my mouth shut, that I would continue to be a slave. Today for the first time I looked into the eyes of the big monster, and without fear I told him what he did to me. At the end of the confrontation, when the interrogator asked me if I had anything to add, I told him, 'I'm not afraid of you anymore. The thing that surprised me the most about Eyal Golan's remarks is that he thinks his father is a victim. His father raped us, brought his disgusting friends, whose sweat I still smell to this day, and this zero tells me that his father just sat in jail?!"
