Was the teenager bullied in middle school? This is what investigators are trying to discover after the suicide on May 12 of a 13-year-old schoolgirl in Vendin-le-Vieil (Pas-de-Calais). Six teenage girls were interviewed in connection with this case, says La Voix du Nord. Four minors were indicted on Thursday as part of this investigation.
The girl, a fourth-grade student, was buried Monday and may have been a victim of harassment at Bracke-Derousseaux College. Proceedings were "ongoing" regarding this situation, and reports had been made to academic services before the teen's suicide.
It is not known who the girls charged are, or even if they were schooled in the same school as the young victim.
