What happened in Guise, rue des filles de la charité, in the department of Aisne this Thursday, May 25? A 50-year-old man, paramedic, was found dead in his kitchen according to information from L'Aisne nouvelle. His wife was stabbed twice in the chest. She was taken to Reims Hospital by helicopter. His prognosis is life-threatening.
Ongoing investigation
The tragedy would result from a family conflict. Parents of a child who was at school at the time of the facts, the two spouses would be separating. The mother worked at the Intermarché in Guise and used to go home for lunch.
An investigation is underway to try to elucidate the circumstances of the tragedy. The gendarmes also demarcated a security perimeter for several hours around the marital home.
Last April, another family tragedy hit the town of Nouvion-en-Thiérache, about twenty kilometers from Guise. A father and son were found dead in a burned-out car. The gendarmerie had then put forward the hypotheses of suicide and infanticide.
