Terrible traffic accident this Saturday north of Toulouse. An 8-year-old girl, who was traveling by bike, was killed after being hit by a car this Saturday in the middle of the day in the town of Aucamville (Haute-Garonne).
According to La Dépêche, which reports the information, the girl was with her father on a bridge over the A62 motorway. She reportedly left the sidewalk or bike path and crossed the roadway, where she was hit by a car.
Investigation initiated to determine the circumstances
She was in serious condition when emergency services arrived and, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries despite attempts to resuscitate her.
A psychological cell was set up, in particular to take care of the father of the little girl, present on the scene at the time of the tragedy, as well as the driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old person who was leaving work.
An investigation has been opened. It is entrusted to the gendarmes of the community of brigades of Castelginest, according to the regional daily. The investigations will have to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, for the moment still unknown.
