Pelephone announced today (Sunday) that by the end of the year the company expects to reach about one million subscribers of 5G packages. As of May, the telecommunications company had about 5,860 subscribers on the new network. "Pelephone continues to invest in the future and that investing in 5G is important for the entire Israeli economy and its development," said the company's CEO, Ilan Siegel.
5G technology allows, through greater bandwidth, higher data transfer rates and lower latency compared to 10G. The conceptual browsing speed in the fifth generation is up to 75 times faster compared to that of the fourth generation.
According to Pelephone's data, today about 47% of its cellphone sales are of devices that support 5G, and that the company's customers can also surf 50 other countries around the world on <>G-compatible networks. Pelephone's data also shows that subscribers to <>G packages surf <>% more than other subscribers in terms of browsing volume.
At the same time, Pelephone is launching a new advertising line that includes a number of advertisements that will air throughout the year on television, radio and digital and are characterized by short videos and rapid narration, which correspond with the worlds of the fifth generation and present its advantages over previous generations. At the same time, the company presents its new slogan: 'Pelephone - before everyone else'.
"We continue to lead the fifth generation in Israel," said Dror Bhatt, Pelephone's VP of Marketing. "A survey conducted by the 2thepoint research institute found that Pelephone's 5G network is assessed by consumers as the best in Israel, and therefore we see a steady increase every month in the number of customers joining 5G packages. We estimate that by the end of the year there will be about one million* subscribers in <>G packages on the phone."
