Singer Adam, one of the biggest stars of the 80s and 90s in Israeli pop and children's productions, revealed today (Sunday) that he has contracted cancer.

"My loved ones, today I was informed that I will have to undergo a series of treatments, radiation and chemotherapy. Still struggling to digest," wrote a person on his Facebook account, explaining that he would rather post the comments than have them leaked in other forms. "Since I was defined as an oncology patient, there is no need for it to leak and there is no need to hide, but to deal with what will come."

"I will start the treatments in about a week and until then I choose to continue functioning, as long as possible and as recommended to me by the professor I met in the hospital today," he added. "I will be holding the upcoming show at Gray in Tel Aviv, for my soul and for the love I will gather for complex days. So for now, they've only sent love."

In September 2017, a man was hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital for gallbladder removal surgery that became complicated, led to pancreatitis, damage to nearby organs, worsening of his condition and five months of hospitalization. Shortly after he recovered and was discharged from the hospital, his sister passed away after a battle with cancer.

In an interview at the Walla studio! Culture In August 2018, he said: "You know what, I stop a lot of times a day to ask myself how I'm doing. One of the things I was taught in the hospital, for five months, and I took it to life as well, was to listen to the body. It turns out that one of the best and most correct ways to maintain health is to listen to him. Now what you do with what you hear is another matter. I try to do a lot. I'm listening to my body, and I'm on the rise now."
