Iris C. died after the intervention of a third party. The autopsy performed on the body of the young woman, whose body was found Saturday in the Blavet in Lanester (Morbihan), confirms the criminal origin of the death.
The victim had traumatic injuries and hematomas on the head and face (impact by blunt objects, ...), gripping lesions on the arms, traces of strangulation with a major asphyxiation mechanism, without it being possible to indicate, at this stage, whether this asphyxiation was the result of strangulation maneuvers or if it had also been induced by drowning (or both successively). Several analyses (anatomopathological, toxicological, diatom research, ...) will be performed and will then provide answers.
"The autopsy also makes it possible to evoke the recent nature of sexual intercourse, without it being possible to affirm the existence of violence in this respect, which only the additional examinations already mentioned will make it possible to determine, subsequently," adds this Tuesday the prosecutor's office of Lorient in a statement.
Witnesses told The Telegram that they saw the victim on Friday night and into the night. She spent the evening in a bar, and reportedly left the establishment "not in its normal state" with three men, around 3:30 am. Iris C. reportedly collapsed twice, one of the men left the group and another was seen carrying her in his arms.
His disappearance reported by his sister
This is the last trace of the young woman before the next morning, when she is discovered in the coastal river of Lanester. The first findings of the police report numerous shocks on the body, traces of strangulation and ties at the wrists. The victim was discovered naked, wearing only socks.
Without news and worried, the sister of the young woman had presented Saturday at the police station to report her disappearance. "It's a nightmare to know that this 23-year-old girl was martyred, thrown like paper into the water... We live in a crazy world, "said his aunt at the microphone of RTL.
A criminal investigation against X was entrusted to the departmental security of the central police station of Lorient.
