Mohamed Haouas was arrested Friday night, accused of hitting his wife, earlier in the day, in front of multiple witnesses and CCTV cameras, in a shopping center in the city. Since Sunday, he was in pre-trial detention pending the examination of a case for which he faces three years in prison.
