Another terrible tragedy. A two-year-old girl died Monday night after falling into the family pool in Toulon (Var), reports Nice-Matin on its website. According to the newspaper, the pool was not secure.
The girl was playing with her 4-year-old brother when she fell into the water. The mother, inside the house, was alerted by her son without her being able to save the girl, despite the first aid gestures provided.
"Every year, despite the obligation to equip swimming pools with a safety device, young children drown," recalls the prefecture of Var, calling on its website for "the vigilance of adults".
A two-year-old child had already died at the end of April in the same circumstances, in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes).
