The Backstreet Boys announced on Wednesday that they could not find an alternative date for the show in Israel, replacing the show that was canceled two weeks ago due to fears of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. In addition, it was reported that ticket buyers for the original show will receive their money back and will be automatically credited to their credit card. "We look forward to performing in Israel in the future," they added.
Two weeks ago, as mentioned, the band's performance in Israel was canceled after an assessment of the situation carried out by the IDF and out of concern that Islamic Jihad would fire rockets from Gaza at Rishon LeZion. The production said at the time: "Due to the ongoing instability and ambiguity regarding the security situation and out of deep concern for the safety of the audiences and fans of the band, Live Nation representatives have decided together with the Backstreet Boys and their managers to postpone the concert that was supposed to take place tomorrow in Live Park."
