Her little sister fell two stories. A 16-year-old boy was placed in police custody, then transferred to a psychiatric environment on Wednesday, after his youngest, a 3-year-old girl, fell out of the window of their family apartment in Reims (Marne).

On Monday, late afternoon, according to the daily L'Union, without knowing under what circumstances, the little girl fell into the courtyard of the building.

Supported by the firefighters and the Samu, the little victim was hospitalized in a serious condition. But his condition improved as the hours went by. According to the prosecutor of the Republic of Reims Matthieu Bourrette, the child is now out of danger.

The custody of his older brother was extended "in hospital" and then lifted this Wednesday for hospitalization in psychiatry. "His custody was lifted, the file closed because of the abolition of the discernment of the defendant" and it "was the subject of immediate medical care as part of a hospitalization under constraint," says Matthieu Bourrette to L'Union.

"Rare responses to surveys"

An investigation had been opened for the attempted murder of a 15-year-old minor. The teenager was alone on the balcony with the girl when she fell. "Given the very severe psychiatric disorders from which this minor has suffered for many years and for which he benefits from significant follow-up, in a medical-educational institute (IME) in particular, an expertise took place and concluded that discernment had been totally abolished," says the prosecutor of the Republic of Reims, who evokes "the impossibility of taking into consideration the terms of the rare answers he was able to provide to the investigators as part of his hearings".
