'80s pop star Tiffany had an accident with her vehicle in Nashville after a truck tire crashed into her car and got stuck under the driver's side. Tiffany Renee Darwish, 51, said, "I am fortunate and grateful to have survived a bigger accident that could have happened." She said her car was badly damaged when the gear system was "torn apart," but Tiffany's own injuries were not reported.
Tiffany was once a teen pop sensation and broke out with the 1987 hit "I Think We're Alone Now", which topped Billboard's Hot <> Songs chart for two weeks and was released as the second single from her debut album Tiffany.
Shortly after its breakout came the singles "Could've Been" – which also topped the Billboard charts – and "I Saw Him Standing There", a female cover of the Beatles' hit. Although her second album, Hold an Old Friend's Hand, went platinum and contained ten singles that also reached number one on the Billboard charts, it was still unable to replicate the success of her first album.
After a six-year hiatus in which Tiffany was unable to replicate her success, she released her album "The Color of Silence" in the early 80s, which also failed to achieve significant status. Since then, the singer has recorded five more albums, including two covers of hits from the <>s, and continues to perform to this day.
