The hybrid gets on board Dacia, and the debut is on Jogger, the most recent model of the brand that focuses on concreteness. The technology adopted is the full hybrid technology used for some time on Groupe Renault cars. The powertrain of the Jogger Hybrid 140 consists of a 1.6 litre petrol engine combined with two electric motors - one 49 hp engine and one HSG (High-Voltage Starter Generator) type starter/generator - and a multimode transmission with clutchless tooth engagement for a total of 140 hp and 250 Nm of tiles. A solution that is well suited to this car that combines ample habitability on board - it is also available in a seven-seater version, like the specimen object of our test - with a ground clearance of 20 cm that allow it to venture into a light off-road vehicle.
To identify the presence of the hybrid is a discreet specific badge on the livery, while on board the automatic transmission and the presence of the Eco button - which favors the electric pace - are the distinctive elements. The lack of clutch allows a 100% electric start, with the torque immediately available. While driving, electrical and thermal technology can work in series, in parallel and in series-parallel as needed, with the motors operating independently or jointly by directing energy towards the wheels or battery. The system automatically chooses the most suitable mode for the situation to optimize emissions and consumption. Energy regeneration takes place during braking and deceleration, with the possibility of being increased by positioning the gear lever on function B (brake).

The advantages of the hybrid are appreciated both in the city, where it is possible to drive up to 80% of the time in electric with a sure impact on consumption, and on fast roads where the thrust of the battery alone can enter the field during sailing. The consumption we have detected is around 20 km / liter. An interesting fact, if we keep in mind that Jogger is 4.54 meters long, 1.78 wide, 1.67 high and has a wheelbase of 2.89 meters. Measures to the advantage of on-board habitability where - and we tried it during the long test to which ANSA Motori subjected this car - even in seven you travel comfortably.
The only drawback is the large trunk, which in the 'all up' shape is just enough for a trolley: 160 liters, which become 595 when there are 6 people on board, and then increase up to 708 (5 on board) and reach 1,819 when all the sofas are folded down.
When driving, the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 proves to be ready thanks to the electric shot, comfortable on long journeys and easy in the city. Certainly not a sprinter nor with exciting performance, but reliable and modular as expected from a car of this type Compared to the fully thermal version, the equipment does not include any particular changes: the Extreme object of our test has a central 8" infotainment, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, analog instrumentation and on-board computer.
Prices for this hybrid start at 25,750 euros, a thousand more than the 7-seater equipment tested.
