A girl drowned on Monday afternoon during a school trip to the Georges-Hermant swimming pool in Paris (nineteenth arrondissement). According to our information, this student enrolled in CP class at Jean-Jaurès elementary school, classified as a priority education zone, was found inanimate at the bottom of the pool. A lifeguard dived to rescue the child, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest. After an initial resuscitation attempt, the child was transported with her prognosis committed to hospital, where she was admitted to intensive care. An investigation in search of the causes of injuries was opened, and entrusted to the police station of the nineteenth arrondissement, says the Paris prosecutor's office.
