Otherwise: Just try again. You can also put your knowledge to the test in our ten-question quiz on Porsche.

Almost everyone knows that the car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is based in Stuttgart. But what else do you know about the brand? Test your knowledge in our quiz.

There are brands that are probably known all over the world. Mercedes-Benz is certainly one of them. Even in the most remote corners of the world, the vehicles with the star on the grill are mostly still known. For many, the Stuttgart-based carmaker is still the epitome of quality and luxury – especially model series such as the S-Class or the SL underpinned this reputation in the 1970s and 1980s. And after decades of expanding the model range downwards (up to the A-Class), Mercedes is now making a U-turn under CEO Ola Källenius. They want to concentrate more on the luxury segment – and both the A-Class and B-Class could no longer get a successor. Are you a fan of the brand? In our quiz you can test your knowledge of the Swabian manufacturer.

If you are also well versed in other car manufacturers, then you can also put your knowledge to the test in our ten-question quiz on Porsche, our ten-question quiz on Audi or our ten-question quiz on BMW. Long-term success story Mercedes? There were also a few setbacks

Even at Mercedes, not everything that the carmaker's managers touch turns into gold. At the beginning of the 2000s, for example, the Maybach brand was revived with the 57 and 62 models – to compete with the models from Rolls-Royce (part of the BMW Group) and Bentley (part of the Volkswagen Group), among others. But it remained with only one Maybach vehicle generation. On the one hand, the lack of customer interest was attributed to the very high prices, as well as to the design, which, according to critics, did not stand out enough from an S-Class. Although there are still Maybach versions of Mercedes models, these are more likely to be particularly luxurious trim levels, rather than standalone models. Many people will also remember the overturning A-Class in the "moose test".

Like many other carmakers, Mercedes will also be relying on electric drive in the future. According to CEO Ola Källenius, from 2025 onwards, all new vehicle architectures are to be designed purely for electric drive. From 2030 onwards, only electric cars will be sold – but with one small restriction: only where market conditions allow. The EU's decisions on e-fuels are also not intended to change this strategy.
