14 Renaissance deputies filed a collective complaint with the National Pole for the Fight against Online Hate of the Paris Judicial Court after receiving anti-Semitic, racist and homophobic emails, or promoting Nazi ideology.

The elected officials received Monday and Tuesday, on their email addresses of the National Assembly, two emails accompanied by "anti-Semitic, racist, homophobic leaflets" with the aim of "restoring the domination of the white race in Europe," said Moselle deputy Ludovic Mendes, who filed the complaint.

The leaflets contained a link to a website "encouraging ultimate acts of violence of a racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic nature," with "several explicit references to the Nazi regime and Holocaust denial, as well as a return to National Socialism," he said.

"These emails shocked us deeply by the messages of hatred they convey, by their calls for violence, as well as by the use of references to Nazi barbarism." But, "these seem to be sent via software that does not allow (not) to go directly to the sender," noted the Moselle deputy.

"In view of the seriousness of the remarks, the targeting carried out and the impact they can have on ourselves, as well as for many French citizens, we wish to file a collective complaint so that those responsible for these shipments are sought and prosecuted," he said.

Several MPs targeted, including Aurore Bergé

The leader of the Macronist deputies Aurore Bergé is part of the group of elected officials who filed this collective complaint on Tuesday. The other MEPs associated with this complaint are Sylvain Maillard (Paris), Fadila Khattabi (Côte d'Or), Jean-Marc Zulesi (Bouches-du-Rhône), Sacha Houlié (Vienne), Caroline Yadan (Paris), Constance Le Grip (Hauts-de-Seine), Hadrien Ghomi (Seine-et-Marne), Laure Miller (Marne), Nadia Hai (Yvelines), Anne Brugnera (Rhône), Mounir Belhamiti (Loire-Atlantique) and Éric Bothorel (Côtes-d'Armor).

"The national prosecutor's office for the fight against online hate has taken into account the report and has entrusted the investigations to a specialized service," confirmed the national digital prosecutor's office.
