Moussa and Jamilatou S. are pacing this Thursday in their apartment on the rue des Ardennes, in Paris (nineteenth). It's been three days since their daughter, Fanta, 7, drowned during a school trip to the Georges-Hermant municipal swimming pool. Since then, this CP student at Jean-Jaurès elementary school has been immersed in deep sedation — or "artificial coma" in everyday language — at the Robert-Debré Hospital. "I spend my nights at his bedside, and my wife goes there during the day," said Moussa, 64. "Every day, I bring her her cuddly toys that she loves so much," says Jamilatou, 43, suppressing a sob.
