An attack as violent as it is enigmatic. On the night of Monday to Tuesday in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), a 53-year-old woman was hit fiercely before being hospitalized, according to the prosecutor's office, confirming information from Nice-Matin.
Around 3 a.m., the woman fled at full speed through the usually quiet streets of downtown Nice. At his heels, a man 20 years his junior, according to Le Figaro. The individual threw the victim to the ground with a crooked foot, before beating him with incredible violence. His face was particularly targeted. The man was then put to flight by the screams of a local resident, leaving the victim on the ground.
Motive for the assault unknown
Emergency services were immediately notified, and the victim hospitalized in a very serious condition. The motive for the attack is currently undetermined.
An individual was arrested near the place of the facts, and placed in custody as part of an investigation for attempted homicide entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Alpes-Maritimes, confirms the prosecutor of Nice.
