The new Mercedes-Benz coupé is called Cle and, from next year, will also have the convertible variant in the range. It is a car that takes advantage of the innovations of the latest C-Class and E-Class, and meets the needs of customers belonging to both models: a car, therefore, capable of straddling two segments.
4,850 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, 1,428 mm high, and with a wheelbase 25 millimetres longer than that of the C coupé, it offers significantly more space than the latter. Aesthetically it has the characteristics of the coupé of the Star, such as the long wheelbase, the strongly inclined A-pillar, the short front overhang and the slightly longer rear overhang. In the side view, two lines highlight the front and rear ends, while behind the new light clusters dominate the scene. The cabin, in addition to offering 10 mm more for the head, 19 mm more for the shoulders and elbows, and 72 mm more for the knees, compared to that of the C coupé, has a trunk wider than 60 liters.

Technologically, the interior of the Cle coupé sports a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch central display oriented towards the driver. There is no lack of dynamic ambient lighting in 64 colors, while the front seats have been developed ad hoc and, with the Burmester 3D surround sound system offered as an option, have two speakers each at the height of the headrests to create an immersive musical experience using Dolby Atmos. The infotainment system, on the other hand, is the latest generation version of the well-known MBUX.
All engines are mild hybrids with a 48-volt system, with powers ranging from the 2-liter turbo diesel from 197 + 23 hp of the 220d, to the 2.0 turbo petrol from 258 + 23 hp of the Cle 300 4Matic.
The driving feeling is enhanced by the 15 millimetre lower chassis as standard.
The price list starts from 62,443 euros of the 220d, up to 73,911 euros of the 300 4Matic.
