After the event presentations of 18,19, and 20 September, staged, respectively, at the municipalities of Rome XII, VI and X, from tomorrow until 24 September the second edition of the Grand Prix Storico diRoma comes alive. The event, organized by the OrgoglioMotoristico Romano association, will feature historic sports cars from museums and private collections that will tread the streets of the eternal city alternating between static and dynamic exhibitions.
For the occasion, it will be possible to observe Formula One cars, racing cars dedicated to Sport prototypes, Tourism cars and Rally cars, for an event that unites different generations in passion. The program includes, for tomorrow, the inaugural ceremony with the participation of the Capitoline authorities in Piazza Mignanelli with the static presentation of 1 or 2 racing cars. On 22 September it will be the turn of the static exhibition on largo Federico Fellini of 10/12 Formula 1 single-seaters including the Lotus F1 of Ayrton Senna and Elio De Angelis, the Ferrari 312 B of Paolo Barilla ex Ignazio Giunti and Clay Regazzoni, as well as the Alfa Romeo 185 / T of F1 of Riccardo Patrese and Eddie Cheveer.
On the same day there will also be a dynamic exhibition of all the cars on display with three or four passages along Via Vittorio Veneto to Piazza Barberini. Saturday, September 23, 20historic racing cars, including the Lotus F1 of Ayrton Senna and Elio De Angelis, the Ferrari 312 B of Paolo Barilla ex Ignazio Giunti and Clay Regazzoni, as well as the Alfa Romeo 185 / T of F1 of Riccardo Patrese and Eddie Cheveer, will parade along Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, from Piazza di Porta Capenato Largo Cavalieri di Colombo.
Sunday, September 24 is scheduled the static exhibition on Largo Virgilio Testa (overlooking Ente EUR) of the Lotus of Ayrton Senna and Elio De Angelis, and of the Alfa Romeo of Andrea DeCesaris, plus two or three other historic F1, with other historic vehicles that will instead be exhibited on Via Ciro il Grande and, from 10.30 am, the parade of cars.
Guest of honor of the competition will be Anna Fendi, the Roman celebrity, a style icon and an Italian entrepreneur who said: "We must give confidence to those who driven only by passion, courage, dedication, creates in our beloved capital a worthy, captivating attraction for tourists, for the Romans and for Italy is an initiative that I believe will have great potential, precisely because of its uniqueness, and by following appropriate rules, and a lot of collaboration can become one of the most prestigious events in the world for our only extreme city".
