"It's the result of a life journey and especially abandonment." Chérif Delay, 33, one of the children raped in the trial of Outreau (Pas-de-Calais) was sentenced this Friday by the criminal court of Versailles (Yvelines) to a sentence of five years in prison. He appeared for domestic violence committed against three young women between 2016 and 2022 in Chatou, Sens (Yonne) and Marmande (Lot-et-Garonne). The public prosecutor requested the same number of years stressing that "justice has tried everything with this man to avoid recidivism". She believes that it is necessary, today, to "sanction it and protect society".
