At the Ipsia Birago Institute in Turin, in the presence of the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the agreement was signed that officially launches Ford Youth Academy, the project of the blue oval house dedicated to specialized training and insertion into the world of work, in the field of assistance of electric and electrified vehicles.
The program is aimed at young students of public and private vocational institutes who will be able to learn technical knowledge and skills necessary for the development of careers that, in the coming years, will play a progressively increasing role in the labor market. The program, which will employ dedicated trainers from Ford, will expand into more venues across the country, including a growing number of vocational and training institutes.
"The automotive sector is one of the driving factors of the Italian economy - commented Gilberto Pichetto Fratin - and an excellence that gives prestige to Made in Italy in the world. It is a supply chain that always needs new life and that rewards study, research, commitment and hard work. It's the skills that make the difference."
The project, born from the experience of a previous pilot initiative launched by the Piedmontese Ford Partner Authos, in partnership with the Ipsia Birago of Turin, aims to train the talents of the future, specialized and digital technicians, ensuring a path of professionalization with the real possibility of a placement at the Ford Partner network in Italy.
"Today, in Italy - said Marco Alù, Director of External Relations Ford Italy - the demand for highly trained technicians, equipped with increasingly contemporary skills and projected towards the future, is increasingly growing. The supply is, however, not yet able to support the demand of the labor market".
