Gil, whose cousin is kidnapped in Gaza, calls on Ben-Gvir not to promote the death penalty for terrorists: "You are endangering the captives"/Knesset Channel
MK Almog Cohen (Otzma Yehudit) felt ill during a stormy interview with Yaron Avraham on Channel 12 News and had to be evacuated by ambulance to the hospital in the middle of the broadcast.
The interview took place after a stormy debate in the Knesset on the death penalty law for terrorists, in which Cohen told the families of the abductees: "I buried friends, you have no mandate for the pain." Cohen was severely attacked for these remarks, and in the stormy interview he tried to explain his words: "I have no pain?! I see my children's friends screaming, 'Where are my friends?' In response, Yaron Avraham replied: "I didn't say you don't have pain." Cohen continued: "Aren't my brothers I lost good enough? Why isn't this pain mine either?" Avraham replied: "Precisely because of your pain, you had to surpass yourself in the Knesset because you are a Knesset member and they came there to cry out the pain that you are crying out here now."
After the storm in the studio, Yaron Avraham turned to a reporter in the north and during the report MK Cohen was heard gasping and coughing. After returning to the studio, Avraham explained: "We owe our viewers an explanation. MK Almog Cohen, who was in the studio for a stormy interview after a stormy event in the Knesset, did not feel well and left the studio. Everything is fine, his condition is fine and he is being treated. We are sending him a speedy recovery."
Cohen's office confirmed that the MK had been evacuated for examinations by medical staff.
