On the occasion of the Milano AutoClassica event, which took place at the Rho MilanoFiera headquarters from 18 to 20 November, the specialized magazine Ruoteclassiche organized for the third consecutive year the proclamation of the Best in Classic awards dedicated to the most deserving cars, men, places, projects and works in the world of automotive heritage. The awarding of the prizes took place, as for previous editions, in different ways depending on the 10 categories competing for 2023: Classic Car, Classic of Tomorrow, Restoration, Restomod, Event, Race, International Race, Club, Character, Museum/Collection. For the awards given to the best Classic Car, the Classic of tomorrow and the International Race, the voting was managed on the Instagram channel of Ruoteclassiche, operating within the short list selected by the editorial staff. The Ferrari 365 GT4 BB Auto was named Classic of the Year (voted by Ruoteclassiche users): Ferrari 365 GT4 BB and the award, presented by Vincenzo Leanza, director of ACI Storico, was collected by Federico Buratti, The Fiat Coupé Turbo 16V - based on the vote of Ruoteclassiche users - was awarded the title of Classic of Tomorrow and the award was collected by Marco Dorini. The 1000 Miglia, according to Ruoteclassiche users, has been proclaimed an International Race and the relative prize was collected by Nadia Marsegaglia, director of the Automobile Club of Brescia.
Other awards were awarded by the jury of experts composed of Simone Bertolero, Miki Biasion, Giosuè Boetto Cohen, Duccio Lo Presto, Monica Mailander, Marco Makaus and Beatrice Saottini.
"While the Italian automotive industry is facing probably the most complex period in its history," commented the director of Ruoteclassiche, Gian Luca Pellegrini, "while the world of historic Italian motoring is confirmed as a global leader in terms of quality, public involvement and level of events."
"For the editorial staff of Ruoteclassiche it is a privilege to pay tribute to those who have been able to distinguish themselves in a context where excellence abounds". Other awards were awarded by the jury of experts, composed of Simone Bertolero, Miki Biasion, Giosuè Boetto Cohen, Duccio Lo Presto, Monica Mailander, Marco Makaus, Beatrice Saottini and chaired by Gian Luca Pellegrini.
The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Cabriolet Turinga, on which Carrozzeria Luciano Gatti intervened, was named Restoration of the Year.
The Restomod award went to Automobili Amos Safarista, the Italian Event award went to the La Motta Grand Prix, while the Race award went to La Leggenda di Bassano. Finally, the Ruoteclassiche awards for the Clubs went to the Scuderia del Portello, the one for the Character to the writer and journalist Gianni Cancellieri and the one for the Museum/Collection to the Fratelli Cozzi Museum.
