A man and a woman were found dead last Monday in a house in the Isère department. It could be the couple living in this vast isolated building, located between Grenoble and Lyon. However, their youngest son, who is also supposed to be living at home, has not been found since. Here's what we know about the survey at this time.

Two bodies found charred

In the early hours of Monday morning, firefighters were called by a farmer who reported that this house, located on the edge of the forest near the village of Châteauvilain, was on fire. When they arrived, they discovered the charred bodies of what could be the owners of this former farmhouse: Didier Nurdin, 58 years old, and Isabelle Nurdin, 52 years old. Test results are expected very soon to confirm their identities.

But on Wednesday, there was a thunderclap: an initial analysis of the bodies revealed that they each had gunshot wounds to the skull for both and for one to the chest. The case became criminal and the investigation was entrusted to the Research Section of the Grenoble gendarmerie.

The Youngest Son Missing

The investigators quickly realized that the couple's two young sons living in the house were missing. The eldest, aged 17, was quickly found. He had left for Lyon the day before the tragedy to study. But the gendarmes were unable to get their hands on 15-year-old Valentin, who was supposed to be living at the family home and had not been found since Monday.

An appeal for witnesses was issued Thursday by investigators. He describes a boy of "1.73 m", "thin", with "medium-length hair", "likely to be in the Saint-Vallier/Sainte-Uze sector (in the Drôme) or in the north of Isère". The gendarmes invite anyone with information to help locate him to contact 0 800 20 01 42.

The slopes

Several questions remain. Valentin's father, a sports shooting enthusiast, owned a rifle. Is it the murder weapon? But above all: where did Valentine go? The gendarmes have already carried out searches in the Drôme where the family owned a second home. To no avail.

On Thursday, our colleagues from the Dauphiné Libéré informed us that the couple's car, a Citroën Picasso, had been found in an accident and empty in this department. According to their information, CCTV images were able to capture the passage of the vehicle on the night of the fire and the analysis revealed that a young man was behind the wheel at the time.

But for the time being, the teenager is still nowhere to be found and the leads are meager: he would not have left any trace by a mobile phone, nor any sign of the use of any means of payment.
