According to data released by LoJack Italia, during the International Meeting "Motor Vehicle Crime", 18,500 vehicles have been recovered in the peninsula since 2007 following a theft, thanks to LoJack. This is a significant figure, which corresponds to another considerable number, that relating to the total value of the assets in question, which amounts to EUR 545 million. The event, promoted by the Traffic Police in Rome, allowed representatives of law enforcement agencies from all over Europe to discuss methods, technologies and techniques to combat the crimes that take place on our roads and, according to what emerged, cooperation between police forces, coordination and exchange of information are fundamental elements for achieving a common goal: to thwart crime dedicated to theft.
"In the daily fight against car thefts, in addition to our unique technology - commented Maurizio Iperti, president of EMEA LoJack - we can count on an operations center at the service of the customer at all times of the day and on a security team, made up of experts, who support the police forces in the area in the activities of locating and recovering the vehicle. Thanks to these weapons, LoJack is now able to recover an average of 8 out of 10 stolen vehicles, a leadership achieved in the field".
