Thomas Destouches is a tree trimmer and climber in Réaux-sur-Trèfle in the south of Charente-Maritime. So far, nothing paranormal, only after Easter weekends he grinds chocolate eggs with his hedge trimmer. But one evening in the summer of 2023, something in the sky that was profoundly surreal stunned him. It's the beginning of July, Thomas doesn't know exactly what the day is, he just remembers that he just ended his day by parking his camtar and putting away chainsaws, harnesses and abseiling ropes. "I shower, eat dinner and then sit in my courtyard," he says. The starry night is beautiful, and suddenly I see luminous squares above a tree with tails that move for seven to eight seconds to disappear into the Milky Way. I hadn't been pecking and I'm not the type to tell nonsense."
We'd like to believe Thomas, but he should have remembered the date...
